Buggy Tree

This tree looks like a highlighted insect, perhaps, rearing back. Initially I processed the image much brighter, with elevated shadows, but tried again, keeping most of the contrast in the original.

Hollow Tree Viewed Sideways

I liked this shot, but I liked it even better flipped sideways. Doing so lets my eyes rest on the lines and enjoy the details more. Hollow trees are always interesting, and demand a quick look.
